925 STERLING SILVER CARE
Our sterling silver jewelry is plated using rhodium. Rhodium is harder than silver, gold, and many other metals, and this plating offers a protective barrier for your treasured pieces. It shields jewelry from scratches, tarnishing and increases the durability of your piece. Below we have gathered some top tips on how to care for your silver jewelry.
Unlike solid gold and platinum, sterling silver reacts with the moisture in the air and overtime can result in a greyish dull tarnish over time. To help extend the longevity, all our 925-sterling silver jewelry is plated using rhodium. Rhodium is harder than silver, gold, and many other metals, and this plating offers a protective barrier for your treasured pieces. Rhodium-plated sterling silver is becoming highly popular for its durability, resistance to scratches, and beautiful white shine.
However, just like any high-quality jewelry, it needs to be properly taken care of so that it lasts as long as possible. Overtime, metal finishes and plating can change unique to the wearer and use case. The secret for preserving that beautiful shine is to take care of them well and have them polished regularly. Luckily, cleaning rhodium-plated jewelry requires only a few simple care tips to keep your jewelry looking high-end for as long as possible.
-
Remove all sterling silver jewelry before showering, swimming, sports or doing dishes.
-
Be sure to put your sterling silver jewelry on last, after all your perfumes and lotions have had time to sink in. Ensure your hands are clean and dry.
-
